In 1973, swimmers found a professional fisherman and party barge captain murdered in Holden, Louisiana. The body had been dumped near a bridge over the Tickfaw River. Today, the crime remains unsolved. In 1974, the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office wrote off the homicide as a mob hit, complements of the New Orleans mafia.
